About our Worship

Our 100-year-old building, one of the most beautiful in Canon City, lends itself to worship which moves us closer into the holy, mysterious, awe-inspiring presence of God.

If you are new to the Episcopal tradition, our principal form of worship is called "Eucharist", a New Testament word literally meaning "Thanksgiving".  Holy Eucharist comprises two parts:  "The Word of God" (Scripture readings, sermon, prayer) and "The Holy Communion" (known in other denominations as "The Lord's Supper").  In the Episcopal Church, all Christians who have been baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are welcome to receive communion.
