Christian Education

In our society today, it can no longer be assumed that there is basic, shared level of understanding of the Christian faith.  Learning must therefore be intentional and focused.  We provide opportunities for Christian education at all age levels.  Our nursery is supervised by a trained teacher in Early Childhood Education, Michelle Cook, who is one of the teachers of New Child Montessori School, and a member of our parish.  We provide Christian Education classes for two age groups:  ages 5-11, taught by Shirleen Sabatino at 10:00am (during the first half of our 10:00 Worship service), and ages 12 and up, taught by Linda Tipton.  Both Shirleen and Linda are graduates of Education for Ministry, and both have a heart for teaching our children and youth the love of God and the faith of the Church.  Adult Class is held at 9:00am, and is taught by Fr. Mark Meyer.  As required by our diocese, all teachers have received training in Safeguarding God's Children.
